I don't know about all of you, but I am always traveling for business. A friend of mine just sent me an email reminding me about the changes to the travel documentation requirements that are going into effect at the beginning of the year.

Here are the basics and then I'll give you a link to where I found this information...

"Beginning January 23, 2007, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda will be required to present a valid passport, Air NEXUS card, or U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Document, or an Alien Registration Card, Form I-551, if applicable."

Fo those of you who aren't too familiar with blogs, you should check out Technorati. This website is a directory and search engine specifically for blogs. It is a great way to search for specific content or for blogs that focus on specific niche markets.

Make sure that when you do write you blog, you create a free account on Technorati and "Claim Your Blog", this is the only way that Technorati will come out and look at your blog. With so many blogs joining the blogosphere every day, there is no way for them to fine them all. So once you setup your account, and go to claim your blog, they will give you a piece of html code that you put into a blog entry like this one and then tell them you are ready and they will come out and verify that you have put the proper code on the blog and then start to list you.

It is also important to periodically (especially in the beginning) to go back to Technorati and tell them to "Ping" you blog. This is how they know that you have updated your content and that they should come back and look at your blog. Once you have a consistent track record and more people are linking to your blog, then it will eventually happen automatically, but until then, you need to give them a little help.
